The site is at the head of a pedestrian square behind Lobeda’s central shopping center.

The Result
In this privately operated open public spaces (POPOS) the possibilities to linger without consumption are very limited. Moreover, the site offers a rare view that was once part of the main civic square - replaced by a shopping mall. The team made two platforms with seating and greenery that encourage a renewed encounter with past experience and to the benefit of all.
Team Statement
Our project refers to some particular features of the place, but from a different perspective. The metal fence begins to bend and the grid dissolves, organic forms appear on the pavement, trees and grass begin to grow on the square and the wavy balcony panels reappear in a different shape, color and function. We wanted to provide the users of the place with a feel-good oasis - a place to meet, to take a little break - and to experience an alternative reality.
